As pickleball players, we are often guilty of solely training our physical and technical execution of various shots. We’ll spend countless hours and thousands of repetitions hitting dinks, drops, and drives — all while the practicing and training of mental toughness and mindset changes are completely ignored.
To genuinely take our games (and results) to the next level, it is absolutely imperative that our mindset changes. It has to change from that of “being afraid of losing” to “loving the battle.” And it’s crucial that we train and practice this mindset. Only then will we reach our full potential.
I strongly encourage you to set aside approximately two hours and watch the following video as Dayne Gingrich and the Golden Boy, Scott Golden, discuss “Mental Domination and the 1% Mindset.” It’s high-energy and should be required viewing for those of you looking to improve upon your mental toughness.
