Whenever I give an in-person pickleball lesson to someone for the first time, I always make a point of asking the following question: “What do you hope to accomplish by taking a lesson?”
A very frequent response goes something like this:
“I want to be able to play well enough so that my partner wants to play with me again.”
I hear you loud-and-clear. As a newer player, it can certainly be intimidating venturing to the courts by yourself – often-times not knowing anybody – and putting yourself out there.
Perhaps you’re apprehensive about being able to correctly keep score or you’re unsure of some of the rules (like what you can or cannot do in the kitchen). Maybe you’re worried that others will ridicule your technique or strategy (or lack thereof).
An Emerging Confidence in You as a Partner!
If you can relate to this situation, let me pose another question specifically to you: What might it feel like to step on a pickleball court just two short weeks from now?
You likely have a much better grasp of the rules of the game, scoring is a breeze and you understand the how – and, perhaps, more importantly, the why – of hitting specific types of shots. As a result, you are much more confident on the court. And it shows!
Not only do you have more confidence in your game, but your partner has confidence in you. No longer do you hear them muttering under their breath something like, “I can’t believe I’m stuck playing with him/her again…”
That’s exactly what can happen after enrolling in our online pickleball course for beginners! And that’s precisely why I created an online pickleball course targeted to “new” or “newer” players.
What’s included in the Pickleball Course for “Beginners?”
This course takes you thru all aspects of the game of pickleball — including information about courts, where to find a court, what to expect when you visit a pickleball venue for the first time, ratings, tournaments, etiquette, safety and rule clarifications.
The course, perhaps most importantly, teaches the “proper” ready position(s), the correct grip (how you hold the paddle), strategies that will help you succeed on the court and so much more!
And, the course includes several primers (including videos) on various shots and fundamental shot-making techniques that will help you be successful quicker.
For the cost of just one lesson, you will get access to the course which includes videos, text modules, and downloadable pdfs.
Hope to see you in the course!
