Perhaps it’s pickleball’s biggest coup to date. Not only did pickleball invade the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida for the first time in September, 2021, but – thanks to a 2021 partnership between the PPA Tour and Tennis Channel – Tennis Channel will be providing exclusive, live coverage of pickleball for select, upcoming events. Shown below are some of those opportunities.
Yup, you heard that right. Tennis Channel – the 24-hour television channel dedicated to all things tennis – will be broadcasting pickleball and will have the exclusive rights on the following dates:
- Sunday, June 12, 2022 (10:00 AM PT) – Championship Sunday – Gold medal matches at the PPA Select Medical Orange County Cup for each of the five pro events, including Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
- Saturday, June 11, 2022 – Semi Final Saturday – Semi Final matches at the PPA Select Medical Orange County Cup for Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles.
- Sunday, September 12, 2022 – Championship Sunday – Gold medal matches at the PPA Tour’s Orlando Cup for each of the five pro events, including Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
What’s Included in Tennis Channel and PPA Pickleball Tour Agreement?
According to the September 2, 2021 press release, “Tennis Channel’s integration with the PPA Tour will include event marketing, promotional campaigns, social media collaborations, articles on Tennis.com and Tennis Magazine, and the production of creative content, including exciting pickleball storylines and features for Tennis Channel.”
See you on the pickleball courts – and, very likely, in front of Tennis Channel.

Started watching Pickleball on Tennis Channel, PPA Championships at San Clemente – The TV camera is in the wrong place – it is center court and should be situated at one end. The play is hard to see what’s going on until replay points which are shown from the end where it is possible to see what’s happening on court. Also easier to see the ball. Whoever is responsible for this should talk to Tennis Channel TV people who always show the game from one end or the other. Impossible to see points being set up with TV camera at center of court – very frustrating to watch. Hopefully the Doubles matches coming up will have camera at an end of the court.
Further to my comment above, camera at the end is better for Singles matches. Watching Doubles matches now and camera at center of court is better for Doubles
Thanks, John. Unfortunately, I don’t get Tennis Channel. Thanks for your feedback.
We ought to get a huge discount for subscribing to the TC in our customized plan from our service provider. Just for being Pickleball peeps w/ PPA tee shirts. I salute whoever cements that deal, lol!
Let me not forget to salute the PPA for cementing this deal w/ the TC.
Cheers Conner Pardo and team! 😉👍
I like your thinking, Arun. And, yes, great job to Connor Pardoe and the PPA on this partnership. Well done!
