PickleballMAX was born
PickleballMAX was created by Todd and Teresa in 2015. A couple of years before that, Todd’s mother-in-law invited him to play pickleball at her church. At the time, Teresa had never heard of pickleball (like most other people back in the day), but Todd remembered playing in gym class as a kid.
Todd played tennis in college, so pickleball was a natural sport to try as an adult. Todd started spending his lunch hours playing pickleball indoors on a gym floor at our church. He loved it and quickly became addicted!
Seeing that Todd caught the pickleball bug and started dedicating more time to it, Teresa encouraged him to start a pickleball blog. Hence, PickleballMAX was born and the rest is history!
Todd became an IPTPA Level II Certified Pickleball Teaching Professional in 2018. He has provided instruction through lessons and clinics to tons of students over the years. He is currently an instructor for the Ohio Pickleball Academy at The Pickle Lodge.

Todd
Co-Founder
Todd is the talent behind PickleballMAX. He knows pickleball and demonstrates it on the court as a 4.5 – 5.0 player. In addition to creating content and running the PickleballMAX business, Todd is IPTPA Level II certified. As an instructor at the Ohio Pickleball Academy, he instructs students and runs adult and youth clinics. He also manages tournament desks throughout the Midwest for tournaments ranging from 100-500 participants.
Teresa
co-Founder
Teresa is the idea-maker behind PickleballMAX. Teresa joins Todd to manage and market PickleballMAX. She creates pickleball content and assists with pickleball tournaments. She can also be found talking with students and being a ‘ball girl’ at clinics. In 2023, she wrote a pickleball devotional book titled Pickleball Is [Not] Life.
